Living in Arizona during the summer gets very hot. Now that we’ve been here almost 2 years, we’re more acclimated to the temps, but we love nothing more than to jump in our pool and enjoy an afternoon in the cool water. Something I have learned, and am still honing in on is what to bring outside to prepare us for a day of fun. I have shared with you my favorite must-haves for our pool, and I’d love to know which one is your favorite down below! - Cooler– I believe a good pool day consists of tasty cold drinks. We love using our cooler out by the pool, so we don’t have to walk back inside so often.
- One of these is always nice because it’s easy to carry
- We love using ours inside the pool so you always have a drink nearby
- I like how this one collapses and is a larger size
- Large Towels– We love having big, fluffy towels while were out at the pool. Ours are from Costco and they always sell them this time of year, so keep an eye out!
- I love the stripes and colors on these
- Every member of the family can have their favorite color
- I’ve always loved a good beach towel
- Sunglasses– A good pair of sunglasses is so important whether you are lounging in a chair or floating on a raft.
- I am all for tortoise pattern on everything
- These are the perfect shape to really keep the sun out of your eyes
- My daughter would never take these off and I don’t blame her
- How cool are these for your kiddos? My son would wear these day and night
- Drink Cup– If you are like me, a good cup or glass to hold your drink is CRUCIAL for the pool.
- These are GENIUS when it comes to keeping your drink cold
- I love how they are cooling your drink constantly
- Plastic is the name of the game when it comes to kiddos around the pool
- Hats– I love a good floppy hat for relaxing by the pool. Especially in Arizona, they are so important.
- A fun floppy hat like this one with a super cute saying will always win in my book. Now I just need one that says Pool Hair, Don’t Care,
- I have never been one to wear this style, but now that I am wearing buns a lot more often, it can really come in handy
- This has got to be one of my favorite styles of hats out there, and I love the neutral color so it matches any bathing suit.
- Floats– If you need me this summer, I will be on my float in the middle of the pool, enjoying my cool drink and dodging splashes(number one rule in the pool is mom does not get splashed).
- There is nothing better than floating around the pool on a raft with these! Such a relaxing time while you and your family swim!

- This, mixed with an all-time favorite pool toy is such a genius idea.
- Speaker– We swear by our speaker for the pool. We love that it’s waterproof and can be submerged in the water without worrying about damaging it. Hooks right up to our Bluetooth on our phones and we’re ready to go.
- Drinks- Beverages are also a big deal around here, and lately I have been loving anything watermelon. This is my go-to summer beverage, as well as bubbly water and vodka! Both are delicious AND low in calories. Winning!!
