When I am in need of a facial or another form of self-care, I love visiting Lindsay Peters at Skinology here in Tucson, AZ. She is always so welcoming and knowledgeable about my skin and what I need to do to care for it.
Mom-life and getting ready to move have been causing a bit of stress, so to be able to truly relax and be pampered for an hour has my name all over it.

I am a busy mom of two with housework, actual work, meal planning, and more to do each day. I do get some alone time to binge Netflix, but true self-care doesn’t happen all that often. So when I had a chance to collaborate with a good friend of mine for a facial at her spa here in Tucson, I snagged the chance and was able to truly relax. Thankfully both kiddos are in school now so I was easily able to book an appointment.
Today, I am sharing all about my experience at Skinology with the one and only, Lindsay Peters. Not only is she an incredible esthetician, but she is also the one that did my makeup in my recent photoshoot here in town! She is a woman of many talents, and I can’t wait to introduce her to all of you.

What To Expect When Getting a Facial
When I arrived at Skinology for my appointment with Lindsay, I was greeted by a beautiful, well-kept salon. It smelled so inviting and everything was so clean and chic. The employees were all wearing masks and they had an ample supply of sanitizer on hand.
First, I filled out the agreement/waiver that asks various questions including if I have any allergies. Thankfully, I do not, so that wasn’t an issue.
After I was done filling it out, Lindsay took me back to her space. Asked if I needed to use the restroom since I was booked for the Ultimate Facial, which is valued at $98. Once I was done, she had me undress from the waist up.
You can leave your bra on if that makes you more comfortable, but she is a friend, and I’m 100% comfortable with her. She had me lie down under a sheet and then she began!
The steps to her Ultimate Facial are:
- Double cleanse
- Mild gentle exfoliation to help with ydration
- Deep pore cleaning extractions- let’s just say I had a few
- Mild facial, necl, and arm massage- this was THE best part
- Hydrating soothing mask
- Hydrating serums and glowing moisturizer
They use the Skinscript product line for all their facials.
The Benefits of Getting a Facial
It was one of the most relaxing things I’ve had in quite some time and I really tried to stay in the moment and enjoy every bit of it. Lindsay is the real deal and 100% worth it. My skin felt soft, clean, and Dewey. You want to make sure to leave it alone for the rest of the day and to let your skin breathe. When I got home, I was able to greet my family with a calm state of mind and really enjoyed the rest of the day with them.

What To Wear When Getting a Facial
Wear whatever is comfortable, but I like to go for leggings, a comfy shirt, and a sweater. It is your choice whether you want to take your bra off, which makes it even more relaxing. Your esthetician will instruct you about that at the beginning of your service.
