I am pretty sure I have been to Starbucks every day since this drink came out, and it’s a good $7 drink. I love the flavors and how it makes me think of summertime, but what I don’t like it is the price tag! My husband doesn’t either.

Men… Typical. Just let me live my life.

That is why I decided to make it at home and MAN, did I deliver. But I do love the original and wanted to share it with you all. a couple of my other favorites in the Caramel Macchiato and the Cinnamon Dolce Latte.

Starbucks Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso Recipe

Starbucks Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso Latte is typically an iced beverage, but you can order it hot as well. It has a beautiful layered effect with the oat milk sitting right on top of the espresso and syrup. I love adding Sweet Cream Cold Foam to the top for an added amount of creaminess.

This Starbucks Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso Recipe is so versatile because you can swap out the brown sugar syrup for cinnamon dolce and it gives it a completely different flavor palette but still keeping the creaminess from the oat milk.

Brown Sugar Espresso Highlights

  • Starbucks uses blonde roast but another favorite of mine is their Spring Day blend
  • There are so many cold brew brands out there, but I found this brand had the best taste. I also love Starbucks store-bought Iced Coffee
  • You can make brown sugar syrup at home, or you can purchase it as well. Even with the pump, which is super helpful
  • Sweet cream creamer is one of my favorite parts of this recipe, and I found that the International Delight brand is the thickest and tastiest option.
  • You can use ice for this drink, or get some silicone molds and make your own with the coffee you choose. Keeps it from watering down.

Make Brown Sugar Sweet Cream Latte At Home

Step 1: Add Ice

Adding ice is the first step. But if you want to make your drink last longer and not get watered down, try adding your cold brew to silicon molds and freezing them overnight. That way when your drink starts to melt, you get more coffee instead of water.

Step 2: Brown Sugar Syrup

Begin by making homemade brown sugar syrup. All you need to do is add 2 cups brown sugar to a saucepan and 2 cups of water. Boil until sugar dissolves and put in the fridge to cool for a bit. Once that is made you can store it in your fridge for a week or more.

After your syrup is cool, add about a tablespoon to the cup. You can add more if you want it sweeter.

Step 3: Add your cold brew or iced coffee

At Starbucks they use espresso, but to make it a bit more budget-friendly, and easier, I like picking up a cold brew at Target. Or if you want to make it at home, this cold brew maker is amazing and it’s nice to have it at my fingertips for the week. This way you can choose whatever coffee grounds you want.

Fill up your cup about 3/4 of the way with your cold brew/iced coffee

Step 4: Add Oat Milk

After you’ve added your coffee, add your oat milk to the desired color. I typically fill it up till I have about 1.5 fingers left from the top. This will leave the perfect amount of room for your cold foam.

Give it a good stir if you would like.

Step 5: Make your sweet cream cold foam

Add 1/4 cup of sweet cream creamer to a glass and add about a tablespoon of heavy whipping cream. Take your frother, mine is from Amazon, and you are going to froth that till you see big bubbles, and it’s nice and thick. If you don’t have a frother, you can use a hand mixer. Or put it in a mason jar, screw the lid on and shake, shake, shake!

Pour that on top of your drink and sprinkle it with cinnamon. You are done! Enjoy and definitely tag me when you make it so I can see your masterpiece!

I decided after spending all my money at Starbucks, that I could easily recreate it at home, for less! I can’t say it is any better for you, BUT you’ll have more money to spend at Target. I hope you will give it a try, and let me know what you think!
