Welcome to the first installment in my new series, Weekly Cleaning Routine. Today is all about my Monday Cleaning Task- Sheets + Blankets and what I tackle on the first day of a new week. There is just something about starting a fresh new week, with clean sheets and blankets. There is nothing I love more then hopping into bed at the end of the day knowing my bed is nice and clean!
How I Begin My Morning Task
Once I am home from walking my daughter to the bus, I head into our room and take our comforter off (IF my little one isn’t still snuggled up). This is my first load of the day, because it’s a bit heavy and takes a while to dry. Once I’ve got that going, I strip the sheets off all the beds in the house and get those into the laundry room. One thing we started doing is having my 6 year old bring her sheets and laundry down Monday morning when she comes down for breakfast, that way it’s ready to go.
The Piles I Create
I love making different piles in our laundry room and they really help me know what’s next and makes the process go a whole lot quicker. Here is a list of the different categories I wash on Mondays:
- Comforter
- Kids’ Comforters
- Kids Blankets
- Blankets
- Sheets
Once I’ve gotten all these finished for the day, our washer and dryer are clocking out! I make sure to do my best to get everyone’s beds made, but it doesn’t always happen. I also got the idea from Faith & Flour to use one set of sheets for a period of time instead of changing them out every week. And that’s one less thing I need to worry about that day!
I love my laundry product line up. I enjoy the lite scent is leaves and how I can feel how clean our clothes are. The best part is that I can pick them all up at my favorite store, Target. Here are the products I’m using at the moment:
I’d love to know what products you use, and if you have a laundry routine! Routines are so helpful especially when it comes to laundry. For more cleaning inspiration, check out my Home Products I Swear By post! I hope you enjoyed my Monday Cleaning Task- Sheets + Blankets.
We use arm and hammer and typically do our laundry on Sunday because of work schedules. Although i think All laundry detergent is best smelling on the market!
I haven’t used that brand, but my mom used to when I was little! Great choice
