Do your kiddos love eating snacks throughout the day? Are they constantly asking you for something to eat or where something is? Our kiddo-friendly snack bin is the perfect way to cut out the middle man and bring the snacks directly to your kids!! It will eliminate the need to ask for a snack every 15 minutes, and you’ll have peace of mind knowing they are grabbing for something healthy and mom-approved right out of the pantry.

For me, convenience is the name of the game. I buy tons of Hamburger Helper, canned veggies, and Eggo waffles because I can’t handle too many steps and hate all the clean-up that comes from the whole process. I also don’t like tons of packaging in my pantry. If I can avoid it, then I will. For more pantry organization inspiration, our 5 Steps to an Organized Pantry post is the one for you!

With that being said, a big thing for us as a family is snacks. Yes, we eat tons of snacks and not a lot of whole meals. Hey, no judging here people- we just enjoy snacking more. And instead of my kiddos carrying around entire boxes of crackers and fruit snacks, it’s so much easier to package them into individual-sized baggies. Then they can grab and go as they please. If you are looking to organize your snacks in one of the best kid’s snack containers, then keep reading as I share my steps to achieve a simple yet effective Kiddo-Friendly Snack Bin! I’ve linked the products I use if you want to reference them.

What you’ll need:

You’ll want to divide your snacks up into snack bags. I measured, and about a cup of snacks fits nicely, depending on the size. Wheat Thins were a bit bigger, so I did less. After you’ve done this, keep filling till all the snacks are divided and add them to your bin! If you choose to, put the bin low enough for the kiddos to reach (for me, it’s one less thing they have to ask me for, so yes, I allow 35 fruit snack pouches a day), and you are finished!! Feel free to slap a label on the front for easy reference. Not only does it serve a purpose, but it looks nice in your pantry, too! Some people don’t have a pantry, so put it wherever you can fit it. So long as they are in a communal place, then you’re golden.

This is also a great way to consolidate your pantry when things start running low. Instead of having an entire container for a fourth of cereal, divide them into small snack containers, like a bag, and add them to your container! It’s so handy to have.

There it is, my short and sweet snack bin post that I feel every mom should know about. One thing you will learn about me is I am a seriously non-judgemental mother and person, so if you feel the need to let your kiddos have at the snack bin all day, at least they are eating and you have done your job, mama. I am here to support and encourage you, and I hope that comes across. This is a safe place, so I hope you’ll subscribe so I can get to know you better!
