Tuesday Cleaning Task- Clothes + Towels is when I tackle all of our clothes and towels. On Monday’s I have my daughter bring down her laundry so the kiddos clothes are ready to go come Tuesday. I have an amazing separated laundry bin in our laundry room, so it’s easy to stay focused with:

  • Mommy + Daddy
  • Kiddos
  • Towels
  • Jeans
  • Heavier Items(sweats, sweatshirts)

I enjoy doing it this way because it helps me keep track of what’s left, and is a great visual. A tip that I learned is do all the clothes that are already in the room and leave new pieces for the following day. Believe it or not, I actually enjoy doing laundry, so I look forward to this day. I also get each load that comes out of my dryer completely folded and put away before I switch the wash (I know, I’m surprised too). That way it keeps from building up the clothes I need to put away. It helps to have a good process to get those things put away, so they don’t get wrinkled in the basket.

Once I have everything hung up, it’s easy for me to put everything away, and I’m on to the next! Believe me, when you have a process that works for you, laundry doesn’t seem like such a daunting task. Give your self some room for rest as well so you don’t get burnt out. For example, I don’t do any laundry on the weekends, so I can enjoy a couple days off. And don’t get me wrong, I am human so these might not even happen one day, but I try my best.
